Selection Process
Each institution will nominate, in rank order, two female and two male student-athletes. The Conference Relations Committee will review nominations and select one female and one male from each institution with consideration to ethnic and sport diversity. Student-athletes will serve one-year renewable terms.
Meetings
The SAAC will meet in-person bi-annually in St. Louis, in March and August. Additionally, the SAAC will meet via teleconference on an as needed basis. An e-mail listserve exists to facilitate ongoing communication among the council members throughout the year. Travel expenses for the annual meeting will be covered, to the extent possible on a pro-rata basis, by interest from the NCAA Special Assistance Fund.
